Hope everyone had a safe and happy journey to their destination. Thank you to those overseas and those who have served our country in other wars for the sacrifices your families go through.
I have come a long way with the different styles that I use to make the cards. There are now a few more techniques that I have learned and used with my cards now versus the cards in the early days.
Handmade cards can be beautiful too. The cards I make are personalized based on what the buyer wants. Some of the tools I use are: stamps and other decorative paper techniques, stamps with sayings, many stamps for most holiday occasions decorative stamps. Prices range from $2 per card (if less than 5 cards) ($7.50 for 5 cards) and $15 for 10 or more cards.

Some cards are already played...
Yesterday was a long day setting up the Blog for Laurel Brooke Designs! Computer programming is harder than designing cards! No more hard work on the computer--today is just a fun day of making more cards!
Today I finished a batch of cards. Some of the techniques I used were spreading stamp ink around on freezer paper, moistening the ink with water from a spray bottle and then I laid down drawing paper on the wet ink. I then used my hands to move paper around and absorb the wet ink. After the paper is evenly covered with ink, I sprinkled rock salt on the paper and let it dry. After making the paper, I use it to decorate my cards. It can be a colorful background or even a center piece!
